What I Do
Welcome! My name is Molly and I groom small dogs up to 25 lbs in my home. Yep, that’s right this is not a grooming salon atmosphere, this is my home. I bathe in an elevated dog tub made for small dogs in my spare bathroom and set my work area up in my kitchen.
I work full time in a salon. This is my part time side hustle!
Since I work as a solo groomer this type of grooming is pretty specific to its needs to work at its best and it’s not right for everyone, such as:
- Unruly, aggressive dogs who do not tolerate groomings or nail trimming. There is a groomer for every dog; but keeping a tight schedule does not allow for dogs who bite, continuously attempt to bite, thrash, alligator roll and fight the process. Dangerous behavior such as the examples listed is better suited for a salon with more than one stylist or for a groomer located within a veterinary office.
- If dog needs more of a sedative than Trazodone or Gabapentin prescribed by a veterinarian because they can’t tolerate grooming then they need to be groomed in a vets office for their own safety. I will not risk my own or the pet’s safety to provide a service for them if they are too aggressive or with concerning health or medical conditions.
I communicate only through text messaging to answer all questions as well as location and appointment booking. No phone calls! I’ve been in this industry long enough to know I need to keep a paper trail of communication.
Proof of current rabies vaccine required.
My pricing is similar to PetCo but in a private, home environment.
Unlike PetCo, my prices are not ala carte! I price all inclusive so your dog gets the full spa treatment without add on pricing.
